FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Lees-McRae women's tennis continued its strong start to Conference Carolinas play with a 5-2 victory at Emmanuel on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats staked out to a one-point lead with a sweep of the doubles matches. Alexa Mazzei and Miranda Noor collected the 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles. Pati Vedia Sanchez and Anita Ivanova recorded the 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles for the doubles point. Caroline Brothers and Lina Ngassi Saqout registered the sweep with a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
- Brothers continued the momentum in singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles over Emma Auger.
- Noor completed the straight-set win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-6 (2) for the third point of the day and Sanchez earned the 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles for the fourth point.
- Saqout tallied the final point for Lees-McRae at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 7-5 for the 5-2 win at Emmanuel.
- Ivanova and Mazzei sent their matches to a third set, but Emmanuel won both matches in the decisive final set.
