BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball returned to the McNair & Debi Tornow Court on Friday evening and battled Mount Olive to four sets in Conference Carolinas play.

RECORDS: RV Mount Olive (15-2/10-0), Lees-McRae (3-18/2-9)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UMO took the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-14 for the two-set advantage.
- Lees-McRae went on a 4-0 scoring run to take the 16-13 lead in the third set. Mount Olive held the 23-21 set lead in the third, but the Bobcats rallied for four straight points and the set at 25-23 off an attack error from the Trojans.
- The Bobcats knotted the fourth set at 22-22 off four consecutive points. Mount Olive closed the set and match with back-to-back points off kills from Kory Grant.
- Austin Beaird had a match-high 18 kills on a .375 hitting percentage and added three digs and two blocks. Lleyton Starke tallied nine kills in four sets played and Sebastian Heer followed with eight kills in the contest.
- Thiago Da Silva distributed 41 assists for the Bobcats and Isaac LaFunor recorded eight digs at the libero position.
- Lees-McRae ended Mount Olive's 34 consecutive set streak with the victory in the fourth set by the Bobcats.
