BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis picked up a decisive 6-1 Conference Carolinas victory at Converse on Tuesday afternoon in Banner Elk.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats started the day on the right foot with a sweep of the doubles matches.
- Caroline Brothers and Lina Ngassi Saqout earned the 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles. Anita Ivanova and Pati Vedia Sanchez tallied the 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Alexa Mazzei and Miranda Noor rounded out the wins with a 7-5 triumph at No. 2 doubles.
- Noor dispatched Lais Martins of Converse, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for the second point of the day.
- Brothers won 7-6 (2), 6-2 at No. 6 singles. Ivanova completed the 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles for the Bobcats.
- Saqout won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Mazzei closed the match with a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (9) win at No. 5 singles for Lees-McRae.
