BANNER ELK, N.C. – No. 48 Lees-McRae women's tennis picked up a 6-1 Conference Carolinas win over Francis Marion on Wednesday afternoon on the C.D. Chesley Tennis Courts.

- Alexa Mazzei and Miranda Noor evened the doubles matches with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Anita Ivanova and Pati Vedia Sanchez secured the point with a 6-3 win over Francis Marion's No. 1 duo.
- FMU collected its first point of the day with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
- Lees-McRae earned the final five matches for the 6-1 Conference Carolinas victory.
- Noor recorded the 6-1, 6-3 win over Francis Marion's Hernandez Huerta and Sanchez followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.
- Ivanova, the reigning Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week, won 6-1, 6-3 over Francis Marion's Valery Gomez at No. 4 singles.
- Mazzei earned the fifth point of the day with a 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) win at No. 5 singles and Lina Ngassi Saqout closed the match with a 7-6 (1), 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles.
