BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Head Men's Soccer Coach
Taylor Morton announced the hiring of
Emmanuel Hagan as an assistant coach. Hagan graduated from UNC Greensboro in December 2024 and was a key member of the Spartan men's soccer program.
"I am very excited to have Emmanuel joining the staff," said Morton. "He has a very high-level understanding of the game and works very hard at everything he does. He has/will make an immediate impact. I cannot wait to see how he elevates our players and this program."
At UNCG, Hagan was part of the Southern Conference Regular Season Champions in 2021, 2022, and 2024. Hagan was named to the College Soccer News Preseason All-America Team in 2023 and was tabbed All-SoCon First Team in 2020-21, 2021, and 2022. He also earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team Honors in 2022 and third team honors in 2021.
"Soccer has always been a huge part of my life, and coaching gives me the chance to give back to the game and young athletes," said Hagan. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work here at Lees-McRae College and can't wait to help develop players and achieve great things."
Hagan has served as a coach at the Chris Rich Soccer Camp in Greensboro, where he guided kids from ages 5-12 through training sessions to learn proper soccer skills. He also served as a summer and winter camp coach where he helped run individual training lessons for kids to focus on the fundamentals of the game and to help with development.
Hagan earned his bachelor's degree in Recreation and Parks Management with a concentration in Community Recreation and Event Planning from UNC Greensboro in 2024.
