ROME, Ga. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball returned to Conference Carolinas play on Sunday, but the Bobcats fell to Shorter in four sets in Rome, Georgia.

FINAL SCORE: Shorter def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18)

RECORDS: Shorter (3-5/2-1); Lees-McRae (1-8/1-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-22. Lees-McRae bounced back in the third with a set win of 25-19. Shorter earned the match in four sets after collecting the fourth set at 25-18.
- Sydney Stigler led the Bobcats with nine kills, 11 digs, and five service aces. Karoline Springman followed with eight kills on a .467 hitting percentage and Rebecca Ryan tallied seven kills in four sets played.
- Iza Rosin recorded 22 assists and two aces in the contest and Lauren Newcomer registered 14 digs in the match.
