BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer and USC Aiken battled for 90 minutes, but the two sides ended the season-opening match with a scoreless draw.
Sean Green collected five saves for the Bobcats on Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- USC Aiken had their first opportunity on goal in the 27th minute with a shot by Sam Mitchell, but Green came up with the stop. Kenny Kwizera, Jr. had a chance in the 34th minute and Ayoub Ben Amar earned a shot on goal in the 36th minute of tonight's contest.
- Jonas Bartelt had the first shot on target for the Bobcats in the 48th minute, but USC Aiken's Sean Simoncelli made the stop.
- Nils Schulze had a shot on goal off a free kick in the 65th minute, but Simoncelli made his second save of the evening.
- Green made the final two saves of the night 24 seconds apart in the second with shots on goal in the 69th minute.
- USC Aiken led the match with 14 shots to the Bobcats' nine. The Pacers had five shots on goal to two for Lees-McRae.
