WILSON, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball used a 17 point first-quarter lead and earned the 68-56 Conference Carolina win over Barton on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first five minutes of the contest and led 21-4 off a three-pointer from Nadiya Hairston at the end of the first quarter.
- The Bobcats added to their lead in the second and third quarter and held the 24-point advantage after 30 minutes over Barton.
- Barton cut into the lead in the fourth, but Lees-McRae earned its third win in a row with the 68-56 road victory over Barton.
- Hairston had a game-high 17 points and added six rebounds in the win. Sydney Gueterman and Braelyn Stilwell joined Hairston with double-digit points at 13 and 10 points, respectively.
