BRISTOL, Tenn. – Lees-McRae women's basketball faced a 19-point deficit in the first quarter, but battled back for the 74-65 "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" victory at King this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- King jumped out to an early 21-2 lead at the 3:08 mark of the first period. The Bobcats cut the lead back to 13 at the end of the first quarter after a half-court make by Braelyn Stilwell at the buzzer.
- Lees-McRae continued to cut the lead down to single digits and took the lead at 31-30 off a three-pointer from Nadiya Hairston with 1:56 left in the second quarter. King led 34-31 at the end of the first half.
- Lees-McRae flipped the script in the third quarter and led by 11 with 1:50 to play in the third off a layup from Kaylee Carson. The Bobcats pushed their to 12 at the end of the third period.
- The Bobcats held the double-digit margin throughout the majority of the final stanza and picked up the 74-65 "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" victory over King this evening.
- Hairston led the Bobcats with 25 points and added eight rebounds in the contest. Carson joined Hairston in double-digit scoring with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Stilwell and Sandra Mason chipped nine points apiece. Mason also collected three steals in 22 minutes for Lees-McRae.
