Cedric Patterson sent Lees-McRae men's basketball to overtime with a three-pointer at the buzzer and the Bobcats used the momentum in overtime for the 95-86 "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" win over King this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Patterson hit a stepback three-pointer with three seconds remaining in regulation as Lees-McRae headed into the overtime period with all of the momentum.
- Patterson continued his hot shooting night with a triple in the overtime period and the Bobcats built a seven-point lead off a layup from Yerald Mieses. Lees-McRae picked up the 95-86 win over King and secured another point in the "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" standings this season.
- Dwight Canady led the Bobcats with 25 points on 8-16 shooting. Patterson came off the bench and scored 20 points on 5-8 shooting and four made three-pointers. Mieses and Isajah Deburgo joined them in double figures with 15 and 11 points, respectively.
- Mieses ended the contest with a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. He also added six assists in 33 minutes of action.
- Lees-McRae shot an efficient 56.0% from the field in the second half and six made three-pointers in the second half of regulation. The Bobcats held the advantage in bench points with 57 to King's 25.
