GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's lacrosse, under second-year head coach
John Grant, Jr., has been voted to finish tied for fifth in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
Zach Basisty,
Connor Costigan, and
Cayden Onagi were named Players to Watch for the season.
North Greenville was voted to finish first in 2026 with 59 total points and four first-place votes. Belmont Abbey joined them with four first-place votes and 58 total points. Mount Olive followed with 51 points and Barton received the final first-place vote with 38 total points. Lees-McRae and Young Harris were tied for fifth place with 33 points. Emmanuel, Chowan, and Shorter rounded out the conference preseason rankings.
The Bobcat men's lacrosse team finished 2025 at 3-10 overall and 1-6 in Conference Carolinas play.
Cole Morris led the Bobcats with 46 goals and a team-high 59 points in 13 games last season. Morris ranked second in the league with 4.54 points per game.
Lees-McRae men's lacrosse makes its season debut on Sunday, February 1 at Alabama Huntsville at 12 p.m.
