BANNER ELK, N.C. – On an electric Friday night in Banner Elk, Lees-McRae men's lacrosse went head-to-head with Conference Carolinas leader North Greenville. The Trailblazers picked up the 19-16 win on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Prior to tonight's game, Spence Combs was the lone senior recognized for the Bobcat men's lacrosse program. Eight women's lacrosse athletes were celebrated before the game, also.
- Garvin Johnson gave the Bobcats the one-goal advantage in the first 35 seconds off an assist from Spence Combs.
- Adam Ross cut the deficit to one goal off an another assist from Combs. Combs reached 100 points in his career at Lees-McRae on Ross' goal.
- Dylan Gignac opened the scoring in the second frame with a man-up goal. Morris knotted the game at 5-5 with a goal at the 6:04 mark.
- NGU regained the lead and went into the halftime break with the 9-6 advantage.
- Lees-McRae would not go away easily and registered the first two goals of the second half via Morris and Johnson. The Trailblazers rattled off four consecutive goals for the 13-8 lead.
- The Bobcats continued to chip away at the Trailblazers lead and trailed 14-12 with 2:33 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
- Combs, Cole Morris, and Mark Henderson registered goals in the final three minutes of tonight's contest, but the Bobcats fell 19-16 in the regular-season finale.
- Johnson led the Bobcats with five goals and one assist. He also went 17-33 from the face-off dot and recorded 11 ground balls.
- Morris followed with four goals and Combs tallied two goals and eight assists on his senior night. The eight assists are the most in a single game for Lees-McRae by a one player.
