Nadiya Hairston recorded 21 points apiece as Lees-McRae women's basketball defeated Francis Marion, 80-69, for the first time since December 1994 on Saturday afternoon on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae shot a season-high 49.1% (26-53) from the field in today's victory over the Patriots. The Bobcats knocked down seven three-pointers and went 21-26 from the free-throw line.
- Charlotte Torgerson connected on a three-pointer in the first quarter as the Bobcats led by seven.
- Lees-McRae pushed its lead back to four at the end of the second quarter and led 35-31 at the halftime break.
- Carson made a fastbreak layup with 7:53 left in the third period for the 10-point lead. FMU tied the game at 47-47 with a layup from Kiara Croskey at the 4:26 mark of the third quarter. The Bobcats regained the lead and held an eight-point margin.
- Lees-McRae pushed its margin to 16 points off a free throw from Carson. The Bobcats earned the 80-69 Conference Carolinas win over Francis Marion.
- The win marks the first for Lees-McRae against Francis Marion since December 1994. FMU holds the all-time series record at 7-3.
