BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball picked up its second Conference Carolinas win in a row with the 71-58 win over Converse this evening on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae jumped out to a 12-3 lead off free-throw makes from Nadiya Hairston. Converse tied the contest at 12-12, but Camryn Lee made a layup for the 14-12 first quarter lead.
- The Bobcats built their lead back to four points with free throws from Kirsten Watt. Lees-McRae led 31-27 at the halftime break.
- The Bobcats moved the margin to 11 points off a layup from Shayne Burton with 7:05 left in the third quarter. Lees-McRae held the 10-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
- Lees-McRae held the double-digit lead throughout the majority of the fourth quarter and earned the 71-58 win over Converse this evening.
- Hairston led all scorers with 24 points in 35 minutes of action. Kaylee Carson followed with 21 points and eight rebounds. Braelyn Stilwell and Camryn Lee chipped in seven points apiece.
- Lees-McRae went 24-32 from the free-throw line and scored 19 points off the bench in the contest.
