BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball defeated Barton in Conference Carolinas play for the first time since April 2022.
Ben Fincham led the Bobcats with a career-high 22 kills and added two service aces and three digs.

FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae def. Barton, 3-1 (18-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-19)

RECORDS: Lees-McRae (4-7/1-1); Barton (2-6/1-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barton took the opening set, 25-18, after hitting .476 hitting percentage and recording 11 kills and one error.
- Lees-McRae rebounded back in the second set and led 23-19 after a 3-0 scoring run. Davide Nicolini had back-to-back service aces at 23-19. Jadon Ciriacks closed the set with a kill at 27-25.
- The Bobcats held the 19-18 lead in the third set before the match was even at 19-19. Lees-McRae regained the momentum and picked up the 2-1 set advantage with the 25-21 win.
- Lees-McRae continued the momentum from the third set into the fourth and led 21-17 after a kill from Nicolini. Ben Fincham earned back-to-back kills for the 23-17 lead and B. Fincham finished a career day with a kill at 25-19 for the match victory.
- B. Fincham paced the Bobcats with a career-high 22 kills. Nicolini added 12 kills and led the Bobcats with five service aces. Ciriacks contributed 11 kills and Abdirahman Ahmed started the offensive attack with 45 assists. Ben Ratliff-Becher was an anchor at the libero position with a match-high 15 digs.
