BOONE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae ski & snowboarding team kicked off their season at the Appalachian Rail Jam & Slopestyle at Appalachian Mountain.
Autumn Peters earned the Women's Freeski Rail Jam and finished third in Slopestyle.
Nicole Yoos topped the field winning the Women's Snowboard Slopestyle. The women's snowboarding team finished second behind Liberty University.
Owen Gordon led the Bobcat men in Snowboard Rail Jam and finished in second.
Luke Elting,
Luke Koch, Nathan Devito, and Maddox Beason rounded out the Bobcats in the top ten. Lees-McRae earned the team title in the SB Rail Jam.
The Bobcats competed in their first alpine competition at Sugar Mountain Resort on January 18 and 19.
