BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae women's basketball team returned to its winning ways on Wednesday with the 86-61 Conference Carolinas win over North Greenville.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sandra Mason knocked down a stepback three-pointer with 5:57 remaining in the first quarter as the Bobcats held the 11-7 advantage. Lees-McRae led 20-15 at the end of the first with free throw makes from Layla Tillery.
- Lees-McRae added to its lead in the second period and held North Greenville to five points in the quarter. Hairston pushed the Bobcats to a 11-point lead with 3:15 left in the first half and Lees-McRae led 16 at the end of the first half.
- The Bobcats continued to extend their advantage and led by 21 after a three-point play from Kaylee Carson. Lees-McRae led 61-39 at the end of the third quarter with a made basket from Carson.
- Lees-McRae cruised in the fourth quarter and picked up the divisional win over North Greenville by a score of 86-61.
- Hairston registered 28 points on an efficient 10-13 from the field and added five rebounds. Carson and Braelyn Stilwell joined Hairston in double-digit scoring with 14 and 10 points, respectively. Lee followed with eight points and Sydney Gueterman chipped in seven points in 25 minutes of action. Mason and Charlotte Torgerson added six points apiece in tonight's win.
- Lees-McRae went 28-58 (48.3%) from the floor with 12 made three-pointers and 18-22 from the free-throw line.
