PAINESVILLE, Ohio. — Madison Primeau recorded eight goals and one assist, but Lees-McRae women's lacrosse fell to Lake Erie, 18-17, in heartbreaking fashion.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Primeau tied the contest at 3-3 with 49 seconds remaining in the first period. Courtney Bednarz continued the Bobcat scoring run as Lees-McRae led 6-3 in the second quarter.
- Lees-McRae scored seven goals in the second quarter and held the 10-6 lead at the halftime break.
- Lake Erie rallied in the third and tied the game at 11 goals via Brooke McNeal. Bednarz answered with a goal for the 12-11 advantage for Lees-McRae.
- Murrell and Primeau moved the lead to two goals with 11:12 remaining in the fourth quarter. Lake Erie turned the momentum with three goals for the 15-14 lead. The Bobcats held the 17-15 margin before Lake Erie scored the final three goals for the 18-17 win.
- Bednarz followed Primeau with five goals and one assist. Murrell had two goals and two assists in today's contest.
