CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Charlotte 49er Classic and kicked off their outdoor season with multiple top placements.
THE BASICS
MEET: Charlotte 49er Classic
LOCATION: Irwin Belk Track and Field Center – Charlotte, North Carolina
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Jackson Olsen placed 15th in the Men's 3,000 Steeplechase with a time of 11:06.56.
- Isaac Reyna turned in a time of 15:41.03 in the Men's 5,000 Meters Open invite.
- Josh Brett placed second in the 10,000 Meters with a time of 31:22.14 and held a top time over multiple Division I runners.Domenic Bruzzo-Morello had a time of 33:50.93 in the Men's 10,000 Meters.
- Lodrick Scott collected a time of 57.83 in the Men's 400 Meter Hurdles. Scott also turned in a top performance in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.86 meters.
- Joshua Ehresman had a mark of 14.56 meters in the Men's Shot Put. Ehresman also had a mark of 39.46 meters in the Men's Hammer Throw.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Campbell Dille turned in a sixth-place finish in the 10,000 Meters with a time of 38:55.49. Ari Redies followed with a time of 41:44.93.
- Keagan Osika placed 13th in the Heptathlon with 3,716 total points.
- Jocelyn Walker placed sixth in the Women's Pole Vault with a mark of 3.00 meters. Kaia Thompson earned eighth place in the Women's Pole Vault with a personal-best clearance of 2.85 meters.
- Devon Davis had a mark of 32.26 meters and earned 26th in the Women's Discus.
