ROME, Ga. — Taylor Murrell registered a season-high seven goals this afternoon, but Lees-McRae women's lacrosse fell short to Shorter, 20-14, in Conference Carolinas action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Murrell knotted the score at one goal apiece with 6:41 left in the first quarter. Shorter regained the lead and led 5-3 at the end of the first period.
- Shorter added seven goals in the second quarter and held an 11-4 lead into the halftime break. The Hawks won 20-14 on Ben Brady Field today.
- Murrell led the Bobcats with seven goals, seven draw controls, and one assist. Courtney Bednarz followed with four goals and one assist. Madison Primeau had two goals and one assist.
