GREENVILLE, S.C. – On Wednesday, Conference Carolinas announced the 2026 all-conference awards and major awards for women's flag football. Natalia Hernández de León led the Bobcats with a first-team honor. Makenzie Hicks, Kennedy Vannoy, and Mackenzie Walker received second-team honors for their accomplishments on the field.
Hernández de León, a Sophomore from Panama City, Panama, led the Bobcats in the major receiving categories with 1,103 receiving yards on 67 catches and averaged 16.46 yards per catch in 13 games played. She also caught 22 touchdowns and averaged 84.85 yards per game for the Bobcats.
Hicks, a Sophomore Quarterback from Forsyth, Georgia, was recognized to the second team after 60 passing touchdowns on 329 completions in 17 games. Hicks threw for 3,754 in 17 games with 60 passing touchdowns and completed 329-554 for the Bobcats.
Vannoy, a Sophomore Wide Receiver/Linebacker from Villa Park, Illinois, earned second-team honors for both linebacker and wide receiver this season. On offense, Vannoy caught 66 passes for 831 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. On defense, Vannoy was second on the Bobcats in flag pulls and interceptions. Vannoy ended the regular season with 10 interceptions, 90 flag pulls, and 11 pass breakups.
Walker, a Freshman Running Back/Linebacker from Vashon Island, Washington, led the Bobcats in major defensive categories with 102 total flag pulls, 12 interceptions, and 10 pass breakups. Walker earned Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week honors on April 8 after 16 flag pulls in wins over Barton and Mount Olive.
The Lees-McRae flag football program begins the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championship tomorrow afternoon at 4:45 p.m. against No. 6 King inside the Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
