BRISTOL, Tenn. – Lees-McRae women's tennis recorded the season sweep of King this afternoon with the 5-2 win in the "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats earned the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and 2 doubles. Pati Vedia Sanchez and Alexa Mazzei collected the 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Caroline Brothers and Lina Ngassi Saqout followed with the 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Sanchez continued her undefeated spring season with the 6-3, 6-3 win over Deniz Aytun at No. 1 singles.
- Saqout joined Sanchez with a straight-set win at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
- Brothers battled back to win at No. 4 singles in three sets. Brothers defeated King's Trinity Moore, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
- Mazzei recorded the final point for Lees-McRae on the day with the 7-6 (3), 2-6, 1-0 (10-3) at No. 3 singles.
