GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has announced its 2025-26 Winter Scholar-Athletes of the Year Presented by Hudl and Lees-McRae women's basketball junior
Nadiya Hairston has earned the distinction on Wednesday.
The Scholar-Athlete awards Presented by Hudl are awarded annually to one individual in each Conference Carolinas sponsored sport. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners are chosen by the Conference Carolinas Student-Athlete Affairs and Awards Committee.
Hairston, a Winston-Salem, North Carolina native, led the Bobcats to a historic season after capturing the program's first Conference Carolinas title and made their first appearance in the NCAA Southeast Regional in program history.
Hairston received Conference Carolinas first-team honors after averaging a team-high 18.5 points per game and knocking down 73 three-pointers in 31 games. In Conference Carolinas, Hairston ranked seventh in field goal percentage, second in made field goals, first in free throw percentage, third in made free throws, and fourth in points per game.
