BANNER ELK, N.C. – No. 15 Lees-McRae men's soccer collected the 1-0 win over Lenoir-Rhyne in a non-conference match this evening on Tate Field.
Andrea Marrazzo scored the lone goal of the evening in the sixth minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marrazzo powered home his third goal of the season after a turnover from the Bears in the sixth minute.
- Marrazzo had another chance in the 31st minute, but Lenoir-Rhyne's Mason Cranford made the save. Marrazzo and Conor Hart had two more chances in the final five minutes of the first half, but the Bobcats led 1-0 at halftime.
- Lenoir-Rhyne maintained possession throughout the second half and pressured the Bobcats with shots on goal in the 52nd and 55th minute of the contest. Jonathan Kienle made back-to-back stops for Lees-McRae.
- LR had two more shots on goal in the second half, but Kienle collected four saves on the night for the shutout.
- The two sides were even throughout with LR holding the 12-10 shots advantage, but the Bobcats held the 6-4 shots on goal margin.
- Lees-McRae earned its first win over Lenoir-Rhyne since 2011 when the Bobcats defeated the Bears, 1-0, in Hickory.
