GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer sophomore goalkeeper Laura Walker was named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after a shutout of Belmont Abbey on Saturday.
Walker, a Orlando, Florida native, made six saves in the 0-0 Conference Carolinas draw against Belmont Abbey on Tate Field. Walker secured the tie and lowered her goals against average on the season to 1.67.
Lees-McRae women's soccer heads to Converse this evening to play the Valkyries in Conference Carolinas play. The match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
