2018 Season (Senior) - Vassart played and started in all 17 matches as a senior, leading the team in goals (15) and points (39)...Both of his totals also led Conference Carolinas...He also finished second the team and in the conference in assists...Vassart rode a 10-match point streak at one point in the season, highlighted by a five-point night against Tusculum on Sept. 29) where he scored the game-tying goal with under three minutes to play in regulation before scoring the winner with four seconds left off a header...Vassart scored in 11 matches this season, while recording points in 13 matches on the year. For his efforts on the field, he was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team...Vassart was also named All-Region by the Division II Conference Commssioners Association (D2CCA), and Second Team All-Region by United Soccer Coaches, as well as being a First Team selection to the All-State Team by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA)...For his efforts academically, he was named to the Fall Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll, the Google Cloud Academic All-District Team and the United Soccer Coaches Scholar Team. He was also a Google Cloud Third Team Academic All-American, as well as the Conference Carolinas Fall Scholar Athlete of the Year for men's soccer. He finishes his career at Lees-McRae fifth in school history for career goals (38) and fifth in match-winning goals (11).
2017 Season (Junior) - As a junior, Vassart made several key strides to help become one of the best offensive players in the conference...Vassart scored 12 goals in 19 games to go along with four assists for a total of 28 points...Took 48 shots (29 on goal) on the season...Three of Vassart's 12 goals proved to be game-winning markers...His best performance of the season came on October 21 against Erskine when he scored three goals and added one assist for a total of seven points...For his work as a junior, Vassart was named to the All-Conference Carolinas First Team and to the All-NCCSIA First Team...Vassart also succeeded academically landing spots on the league's presidential honor roll, Academic All-Conference team and CoSIDA's Academic All-District Team.
2016 Season (Sophomore) - In his second year with Lees-McRae, Vassart set new career-highs with seven goals, two assists and 26 shots in 2016...Posted his first career two-goal match at North Greenville on Sept. 14...In addition to the pair of goals against NGU, Vassart also found the back of the net against Tusculum, Southern Wesleyan, Mount Olive, Lincoln Memorial and King (Tenn.)...Vassart was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second team, while also earning a spot on the Presidential Honor Roll for the second time in his career after his sophomore season.
2015 Season (Freshman) - Vassart appeared in every match as a freshman in 2015...The Arnhem, Netherlands totaled nine points (4g, 1a) with 16 shots on the season...His first collegiate goal came against St. Leo on Sept. 5...Vassart's first assist came on Sept. 9 at Tusculum...Vassart also netted goals against Emmanuel (GA) and Erskine...After the season, Vassart was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Third Team...Vassart was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll after the season as well.
