New Look for Tennis Camps for 2008 Announced

Banner Elk, NC--The dates have been set for the 2008 Lees-McRae Boys' and Girls' Tennis camps. The first summer camp will be held July 7-11th from 9:00am - 4:00pm. The second summer camp will be held July 28-August 1st from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Particpants may also chose a half-day option for both camps.

Lees-McRae College Head Tennis Coach Paul Goode spoke about the upcoming camps. "I am excited to announce the dates of camp for Summer 2008 and feel that we have a great opportunity here at Lees-McRae to help local children and visitors to the area develop their tennis games. We have fantastic courts both indoor and outdoor and, along with our new swimming pool, I feel we can offer the campers a great experience and a chance to work with some top class coaches. I am really pleased to be working with Coach Whalley as a co-director of the camp as he hast vast experience organizing and developing top level summer camps".

"I am happy to be involved and give my expertise to the Lees-McRae Tennis Camps and am really excited about working with Paul Goode and his staff and the campers. Along with the facilities mentioned, we have a talented coaching staff and a great camp leader in Goode. Anytime you can get involved with professional players and state champions you are going to have success. Goode was named the North Carolina State Champion in 2007 and also State Player of the Year," commented co-director Chris Whalley.
