BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats (7-4)
women's tennis team lost only one set on their way to a 9-0 win
over the King College Tornado; it is the team's second 9-0 win in
as many days.
King's Sarah Anderson contested the number four position winning
the first set 6-2, but Lyndsay Pegram rallied to take the third set
6-3 and win the super tiebreaker 10-4.
Ashley Mayers continues her six-match win streak with her 6-0, 6-2
win at the number three spot. Mayers made the transition from the
four spot two matches ago and has continued her run this season.
The senior is 9-2 on the season and 3-0 after moving to the three
position.
