Lady Bobcats Fall to Flying Fleet in Semifinals, 5-1

SUMTER, S.C. - The No. 2 seed Lees-McRae College women's tennis team fell in the semifinals 5-1 to the No. 3 seed Erskine College Flying Fleet Saturday morning.

The Lady Bobcats fell behind early after dropping all three of the doubles matches.

Lees-McRae managed to get a point from Christine Vanard before Erskine could close out the match. Vanard won 6-1, 6-0 to earn the Lady Bobcats only point.

With the loss the Lady Bobcats will have a consultation match for third place Sunday.
