ANDERSON, S.C. - The Lees-McRae College women's tennis team
rolled through the Anderson University Trojans, 6-3, Tuesday
afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match.
The Lady Bobcats took an early 2-1 lead after Maria/Andrade and
Lyndsay Pegram won 9-7 at one doubles, and Cameron Joyce and
Christine Vanard won 8-1 at two doubles.
In singles, Lees-McRae wrapped up the match by winning the first
four matches. Vanard won 6-2, 6-2 at one singles, and Gabriela
Celi followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win at two singles. Pegram responded
at three singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win to seal the match. Andrade
added the Lady Bobcats final point with a 6-3, 7-5 win.
Lees-McRae improves to 9-6 overall and 5-2 in the
conference.
