MISENHEIMER, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae women's tennis team picked up a win at No. 3 doubles while the team dropped an 8-1 decision to Pfeiffer in a Conference Carolinas match Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center in Misenheimer, N.C.
The Falcons improve to 7-3, 4-1 CC while the Bobcats drop to 2-9, 1-5.
The duo of Rebecca Pierce (Fernandina, Fla.) and Amanda Chapman (Sunderland, Md.) outlasted Melinda Athay and ShaNisha White at No. 3 doubles in a tiebreaker, 8-7 (7-3).
Freshman Mackenzie Langmade (Kailu Kona, Hawaii) gave Hannah Watson trouble at No. 3 singles, but eventually fell 8-5.
LMC welcomes Barton Friday, April 1 at 2 p.m. for a CC tilt in Banner Elk, N.C.
