BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae women's tennis team finished 2025 at No. 44 in Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's Tennis National Team rankings. The Bobcats also finished as No. 7 in the ITA Southeast Regional rankings.
The Bobcats completed a historic season after completing the season with an overall record of 18-6 and a perfect 10-0 in Conference Carolinas matches. Lees-McRae earned its second consecutive regular season title and first outright title since 2002.
Pati Vedia Sanchez, the 2025 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and MVP of the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship, ranked No. 15 in the final ITA Southeast Regional rankings. Sanchez and Anita Ivanova recorded a ranking of No. 8 in the ITA regional rankings for their play in doubles. Sanchez and Ivanova went 15-8 at No. 1 doubles and 7-2 in Conference Carolinas play.
