BANNER ELK, N.C. --- Junior Amanda Chapman picked up a pair of wins while the Lees-McRae women's tennis team fell to Emmanuel (Ga.), 7-2, in Conference Carolinas play Monday afternoon at the LMC Tennis Courts in Banner Elk, N.C.
The Lions improve to 6-16, 2-7 CC while the Bobcats fall to 3-12, 2-8.
Chapman (Sunderland, Md.) handled Kaylee Kirby, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
She teamed up with Rebecca Pierce (Fernandina, Fla.) to outlast Kirby and Abi Muesse, 9-8. The Bobcat duo claimed the decisive point after winning the tiebreak, 8-6.
LMC welcomes Erskine for a virtual must-win Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. to Banner Elk, N.C. Senior Taylor Bost (Jefferson, Ga.) will be recognized on Senior Day.
