BELMONT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's tennis team fell on the road at Belmont Abbey Saturday afternoon by a score of 8-1. The loss moves Lees-McRae's record to 4-3 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas action.
Freshman Sandy Allen picked up the lone victory for the Bobcats in the contest. Allen's three set win over BAC's Teagan McNamara boosts her singles record to 5-2 on the season, including a 3-1 mark in league matches. Additionally, Jaden Acklin also pushed her singles match to three sets before falling in the third, 10-5.

Lees-McRae will return to action Wednesday when it takes on UVa-Wise in a non-conference match in Bristol, Tennessee. First serve against the Cavaliers is set for 6 p.m.
