DUE WEST, S.C. – Charlsy Traylor surrendered only one run on six hits in game one, while
Julie Gast went 2 for 3 from the plate in game two, but it was not enough as host Erskine held the visiting Bobcats scoreless en route to a doubleheader sweep in the Conference Carolinas action this afternoon.
GAME #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Erskine – 1; Lees-McRae – 0

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Addyson Ikard and Traylor both registered a hit for the Bobcats in this afternoon's opening game.
- Traylor and Erskine's Hannah Houge were locked in a pitcher's duel for the entirety of the contest, combining to give up only one run on eight hits.
- After three innings of scoreless action, the Flying Fleet scored the game's only run on a pair of doubles in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- Lees-McRae had a chance to even the score in the top of the fifth and sixth innings, with runners on second base in both half innings, but failed to push across a run.
- Traylor was credited with the loss in the circle, giving up one run on six hits in six innings of work.
FOR THE FOES:
- Katie Hunter went 2 for 2 from the plate to pace the Flying Fleet, while Taylor Antley posted the game's only RBI.
- Houge gave up two hits in seven innings of work to register the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gast finished 2 for 3 from the dish to lead the Bobcats in game two, while Hannah Foster went 1 for 3 from the plate.
- Erskine opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a run off of two singles to left field.
- Lees-McRae threatened in the top of the third innings off back-to-back singles by Gast and Foster but failed to even the score.
- The Flying Fleet closed out the game's scoring in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single to extend the lead to 2-0
- Raygan Rensing gave up two runs on four hits in six innings of work.
FOR THE FOES:
- Parker Birch went 2 for 3 from the plate with two RBIs to pace the Flying Fleet in game two.
- Hogue earned her second win in the circle for Erskine, holding the Bobcats to three hits in seven innings.
