BANNER ELK, N.C. -- The Lees-McRae College esports team, under head coach Casey Courtney, have closed out their regular season of Valorant and Rocket League with some solid finishes and moving into postseason play this evening in Rocket League.

"We're happy to have another solid semester of competition under our belts in the NECC (National Esports Collegiate Conference)", said Courtney. "With the Fall Split coming to a close we look forward to learning from what did and didn't work this year to have an even stronger showing in 2023."

Here is the breakdown of all of the action happening the past couple of weeks:

  • Lees-McRae had two teams this semester in Valorant with Lees-McRae Gold and Green. Lees-McRae Gold finished the season in sixth place in the Mideast Emergents Division with an overall record of 3-5. The map differential in the contests were 9-11 in the contested matchups. The Gold squad faced Fanshawe Fuel Rising in the first round of playoffs and lost 2-0.
