BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae Director of Esports
Casey Courtney announced on Monday morning that the Esports program has signed on to be an official partner with the Team Singularity Path2Pro program, which is an online service for students to train and receive feedback on their performances in games.
"Personally, I connected with Team Singularity because of the opportunities in the future as more and more talented players get involved with Lees-McRae and we look to improve our practice regimen by learning from professional organizations," said Courtney. "I expect more grassroots academy systems like these to become more prevalent in Esports and it is exciting that we are able to get involved from day one."
The partnership will provide extensive stat tracking and access to live coaching sessions for members of the platform. The Path2Pro model is also an opportunity for players to get scouted by professional teams in Call of Duty, Rocket League, Valorant, and many more. This partnership will also give Lees-McRae student-athletes a chance to interact directly with a professional organization and advance their athletic careers.
