Jayden Green, and
Brian Sims Jr. won the 1,500-meter run, 400-meter dash, and 200-meter dash respectively as the Lees-McRae men's outdoor track & field team opened their outdoor season at the Southside Power & Fitness Invitational this afternoon.
THE BASICS

LOCATION: Irwin Belk Track – Hickory, North Carolina
MEN'S RESULTS:
- Pierce opened his outdoor season by winning the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:09.18.
- Green won the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.56, while Sims Jr. crossed first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.46, which ranks second in the Conference Carolinas and third in the Southeast Region so far this season.
- Max Geckler finished second in the 5,000-meter run (15:54.05), while Jean Origene was second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.81, which ranks ninth in the Southeast Region this season.
- Corimonte Eatmon and Keith Holmes Jr. were second (2:12.42) and third (2:14.98) in the 800-meter run respectively.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcat will travel to Montreat, North Carolina next Friday to compete in the two-day Montreat College Invitational.
