HICKORY, N.C. –
Zeynep Cakirer and
Anita Ivanova posted victories in the #2 and #3 singles matches respectively, but it was not enough as host nationally-ranked No. 31 Lenoir-Rhyne won all three doubles matches and four singles matches en route to clinching a 5-2 win over the visiting Bobcats in the non-conference match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Cakirer won her #2 singles match by claiming a 6-3 victory in set one and holding on for a 7-6 win in set three.
- Ivanova posted a 6-4, 7-6 win in the #3 singles match, while Laura Ocampo rallied to win the second set of her #6 singles match, before ultimately falling in the third set to her rival from Lenoir-Rhyne.
- Both the doubles teams of Nursharneem Shamsuddin / Ivanova and Ocampo / Rhidaim Yang battled in their respective matches and fell short with a 7-6 loss in each match.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcat will travel to Central, South Carolina on Friday to compete in a Conference Carolinas match at 2 p.m. against Southern Wesleyan.
