NEWLAND, N.C. – The Lees-McRae women's tennis swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches en route to clinching a 7-0 victory over visiting Chowan in the final Conference Carolinas match of the season to clinch the No. 6 seed in the postseason tournament later next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nursharneem Shamsuddin and Anita Ivanova posted a 6-1 win in the #1 doubles match, while Zeynep Cakirer and Mei Hiramatsu clinched a 6-1 win in the #2 doubles match.
- Hiramatsu also won the #1 singles match by a score of 6-3, 7-6, with Cakirer clinching a 6-2, 6-4 win in the #2 singles match.
- Ivanova and Shamsuddin both posted victories in the #3 singles match (8-3) and in the #4 singles match (6-2, 6-2) respectively.
- Rhidaim Yang and Laura Ocampo won by default in their respective #5 singles and #6 singles matches and as a team in the #3 doubles match.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats will enter the Conference Carolinas postseason tournament as the No. 6 seed and will take on No. 7 Belmont Abbey in the first round on Friday, April 29 at 11 a.m. in Sumter, South Carolina.
