DUNCAN, S.C. – Four Bobcats collected hits, while
Megan Powell and
Jada Wilson only gave up a combined four earned runs, but it was not enough as No. 9 North Greenville held the No. 8 Lees-McRae softball team scoreless to clinch a 4-0 win in a play-in game of the Conference Carolinas postseason tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hannah Foster, Powell, Emma Jackson, and Lauren Ritchie all collected hits for the Bobcats, while both Julie Gast and Hannah Foster picked up walks in the contest.
- North Greenville opened the scoring in the top of the first inning with a single run to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Crusaders pushed the lead to 3-0 in the top of the second and scored their final run in the top of the third to extend the advantage to 4-0.
- Lees-McRae threatened in the bottom of the seventh inning as Powell and Jackson both hit singles to give the Bobcats two runners on base, but a final out by North Greenville clinched the postseason victory.
- Powell surrendered three earned run on only one hit in 1.2 innings of work, while Wilson gave up only one earned run on eight hits in 5.1 innings of work.
FOR THE FOES:
- Lexis Wilkinson and Brianna McRae both went 2 for 3 from the plate to pace the Crusaders.
- Hailey Wells and Morgan Hatchell did not give up an earned run in seven innings of work for the Bobcats.
