RESULTS
BRYCE, Va. – The Lees-McRae Ski & Snowboard team continued their dominance on the slopes this past weekend at the Bryce Resort in Basye, Virginia.
Blake Broussard and Nicole Yoos picked up victories in snowboard giant slalom and snowboard slalom to lead the Bobcats.
Broussard earned the top spot for the third week in a row after starting the season with wins in the giant slalom at Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain.
Kenneth Stanford finished in second place for the Bobcats and
Chance Markland rounded out the top five for Lees-McRae in fifth place.
Luke Elting and
Brennan Freking finished seventh and 10th, respectively, to place five Bobcats among the top ten this weekend. The Lees-McRae men's snowboard team also took first place overall for the third week in a row.Â
The women's snowboard team placed fifth after Yoos secured victories in the snowboard slalom and giant slalom.
Lilly Kamp recorded a second-place finish to round out the Bobcats this past weekend.
Through three weeks of competition, the men's snowboard is in first place in the snowboard alpine and the women's team is in fourth place. The men's team ranks third in the snowboard freestyle rankings and the Bobcat women are tabbed sixth.
Broussard and Stanford are individually ranked first and second respectively in the men's snowboard alpine, and Markland rounds out the top five in fifth place. On the women's side, Kamp is second individually in the snowboard alpine and Yoos places fifth after her first start of the season in Virginia.
