HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Mei Hiramatsu and Anita Ivanova knocked off Mount Olive's No. 1 duo 7-6 (6) and Lina Ngassi Saquot and Begum Gumussoy started the Bobcats on the right foot with a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- Ivanova claimed the second point for Lees-McRae with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles and Saquot followed at No. 6 singles with a straight-set victory, 6-3, 6-1.
- Pati Vedia Sanchez recorded the fourth point for the Bobcats at 7-6 (8), 6-2 at No. 4 singles for the 4-1 win at the C.D. Chesley Tennis Courts.
- Hiramatsu forced a third set after winning the second at 6-4, but the match went unfinished after Sanchez clinched the match.

Lees-McRae welcomes No. 37 Erskine to Banner Elk in a top-two Conference Carolinas match tomorrow afternoon. The first serve from the courts is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
