GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Conference Carolinas announced its 2023 women's tennis all-conference honors on Thursday along with the men's tennis teams as
Pati Vedia Sanchez and
Rhidaim Yang were named to the All-Conference Carolinas Third Team.
Sanchez, a freshman from Madrid, Spain, garnered All-Conference Carolinas Third Team after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 10-3 and 7-1 in league matches. Sanchez paired up with Yang at No. 2 doubles for the Bobcats with the duo picking up five wins in the spring season.
Yang, a sophomore from Lima, Peru, joined Sanchez with the all-conference third team selection after collecting seven victories in conference matches primarily at the No. 3 singles position. Yang closed the spring season winning seven out of her last eight matches for Lees-McRae.
Lees-McRae women's tennis finished Conference Carolinas regular season with 8-2 league record and received the No. 2 seed in the Conference Carolinas Championships in Florence, South Carolina.
