BOONE, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field kicked off their 2024-25 indoor season at the John Weaver Invitational, hosted by App State, on Friday and Saturday.
JD Green notched a national qualifying mark in the Men's High Jump on Saturday with a height of 2.05 meters.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Green earned first place in the High Jump with a qualifying mark of 2.05 meters.
- Lodrick Scott registered first in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 51.27. Morris Johnson recorded a time of 56.90 for seventh.
- Scott collected third in the Men's Triple Jump with a mark of 14.04 meters. Tayo Bankole finished in seventh with a jump of 12.31m.
- Joshua Ehresman launched a throw of 13.39 meters in the Men's Shot Put and Khan Cline followed with a mark of 12.13 meters.
- Orrin Elmer took ninth in the Men's Long Jump with a jump of 6.09 meters.
- Shane Secor recorded a time of 2:15.57 in the 800 Meter Run.
- The Lees-McRae men's team ended the two-day meet with third place in the 4x300 Meter Relay with a time of 2:31.88. Green, Elmer, Scott, and Secor represented the Bobcats in the relay.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Lora Dillon started her season with second place in the Triple Jump after a mark of 11.52 meters. Dillon also earned fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.46 meters.
- Keagan Osika took first in the 300 Meter Dash with a time of 42.11. Landri Martinka finished in fifth with a time of 45.11 and Sandryne Camire followed with a time of 46.24.
- Morgan Gray placed ninth in the Shot Put with a throw of 10.57 meters. Devon Davis had a throw of 7.94 meters in the event. Kaylee Messick tossed a throw of 6.24 meters.
- Ellie Cobb finished in fourth in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:05.63.
