KINGSPORT, TENN. – Lees-McRae men's swimming began its 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships with two new school records on Wednesday and continued the momentum into day two of the championships.

LOCATION: Kingsport Aquatic Center -- Kingsport, Tennessee
NOTABLES:
- Thomas Ware knocked nine seconds off his school record in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:44.43 and earned All-Conference Carolinas Second Team in the event.
- Chase Davis, Caleb Eidson, Cooper Gobble, and Nathan Higdon followed Ware's performance with a school record in the 200 Yard Medley after touching the wall in a time of 1:33.04 and placed third in the event.
- The Bobcats ended night one with a fifth-place finish in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 6:56.18. Josh Wall joined his fellow Bobcats Davis, Eidson, and Ware in the final event of Wednesday night.
- Davis led Lees-McRae on Thursday night in the 500 Yard Free with a sixth-place finish and time of 4:40.74. Ware followed in seventh after the finishing with a time of 4:41.21.
- Wall captured fifth in the 200 Yard IM in a time of 1:53.77 and Higdon took sixth in the event after posting 1:54.56. Asie Buttar recorded a time of 1:58.58 in the 'B' Finals.
- Eidson garnered All-Conference Carolinas Third Team with a podium finish in the 50 Yard Free after touching the wall in a time of 21.17.
- Lees-McRae closed the night with a third-place finish in the 200 Yard Free Relay with a time of 1:26.20. Eidson, Gobble, Wall, and Ware took All-Conference Carolinas Third Team honors in the event.
- After 14 events, the Bobcats are in third place with 191 total points. Emmanuel sits at the top of the leaderboard with 305 points.
