CARY, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's swimming kicked off its first of four days at the Triangle Aquatic Center for the 2025 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships. The Bobcat men's team collected a new school record in the 200 Yard Medley Relay and
Thomas Ware recorded a third-place finish in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle.

MEET: 2025 Conference Carolinas Championships
LOCATION: Triangle Aquatic Center -- Cary, North Carolina
NOTABLES:
- Ware began his Conference Carolinas Championships with a third-place finish in the Men's 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:46.36 and earned All-Conference Carolinas Third Team.
- Taylor Simmons started the meet with an eighth-place finish in the Women's 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:01.40. Ava Kjar placed 18th with a time of 12:01.06.
- Stephen Bandy, Chase Davis, Nathan Higdon, and Ware finished the first day of swimming with a new school record in the 200 Yard Medley Relay and placed third overall. The Bobcats completed the event in a time of 1:32.75.
