SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In a Conference Carolinas dual meet with Converse, Lees-McRae men's and women's swimming tallied four individual wins in Tuesday's meeting with the Valkyries.
THE BASICS
MEN'S RESULTS: Lees-McRae -- 51; Converse-- 117
WOMEN'S RESULTS: Lees-McRae -- 33; Converse -- 146
LOCATION: Montgomery Student Center -- Spartanburg, South Carolina
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Nathan Higdon earned victories in both entries on Tuesday evening with the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:15.29) and the 400 Yard IM (4:30.41).
- Chase Davis followed with a victory in the 200 Yard Backstroke (2:02.73) and a season-best time in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:48.00) for second place.
- Thomas Ware picked up two second-place finishes in the 500 Yard Free (5:01.42) and a personal-best in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:30.68.
- Stephen Bandy joined Ware with two second places in the 50 Free (22.83) and the 200 Backstroke (2:09.56).
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Taylor Simmons led the Bobcats with strong finishes in the 500 and 1000 Yard Free. Simmons earned the win in the 1000 Free with a time of 11:28.79 and placed second in the 500 Free with a time of 5:26.66.
- Ava Kjar took second in the 1000 Yard Free (12:15.03) and 200 Yard Backstroke (2:32.91) for the Bobcats.
- Riley Gleason completed the 100 Yard Free with a time of 1:01.81 and earned third in the 200 Free with a time of 2:06.10.
- Sarah Munzenmaier registered third in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 3:04.19 and a season-best time in the 50 Yard at 28.74.
