Men's and Women's Swimming Compete on Day Two of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships

CARY, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's swimming continued their 2025 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships with the second day of the event on Thursday. Thomas Ware recorded a school record in the 500 Yard Freestyle on Thursday evening.

THE BASICS
MEET: 2025 Conference Carolinas Championships
LOCATION: Triangle Aquatic Center -- Cary, North Carolina

NOTABLES:
  • Ware set a new program record in the 500 Free on Thursday night with a time of 4:39.07 and placed fifth in the event.
  • Taylor Simmons started the evening for the Bobcats with a 10th place finish in the Women's 500 Free with a time of 5:20.28.
  • Nathan Higdon registered seventh place in the Men's 200 Yard IM with a time of 1:53.70.
  • Stephen Bandy took 14th in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 21.58.
  • The men's team concluded the evening with a sixth-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:25.91. Bandy, Chase Davis, Higdon, and Ware were the four Bobcats in the event.

Lees-McRae returns for the third day of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships in Cary at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
