KINGSPORT, TENN. – The Lees-McRae women's swimming program have made its way through two days of competition in the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships. The Bobcats combined six top-ten finishes in the two-day period.
THE BASICS

MEET: Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships
LOCATION: Kingsport Aquatic Center -- Kingsport, Tennessee
NOTABLES:
- Taylor Simmons started her championships with a fourth-place finish in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:00.41. Kandace Kennedy placed 15th after touching the wall at 11:59.88.
- Tate Abbott, Piper Kelly, Kennedy, and Guillermina Rentsch recorded sixth in the 200 Yard Medley with a time of 1:55.72 on Wednesday evening.
- The Bobcats took fourth in the 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 7:56.09 with swimmers Abbott, Riley Gleason, Rentsch, and Taylor Simmons in the event.
- On Thursday, Rentsch posted seventh place in 500 Yard Free with a time of 5:18.06 and Simmons followed in eighth at 5:20.03.
- Abbott recorded a fourth-place finish in the 50 Yard Free after finishing with a time of 24.23.
- Lees-McRae is currently in seventh place with 110.5 points as Emmanuel leads after Thursday's finals with 291 total points.
